Reveal an email address
Press Reveal on a business to see its emails, phone numbers and full address. It does not use your exports.
You will see the email addresses, phone numbers and full trading address we hold for a business, and the business joins your revealed records.
Steps
- On Businesses, find the row. Before you reveal, the Email column says "Email on file" and the Phone column says "Phone on file", with small labels.
- Click Reveal in the Contact column.
- A box asks "Reveal the contact details?". It says what you will see and that revealing does not use your exports.
- Click Reveal.
- The button shows "Revealing", then a green Revealed pill. The Email and Phone columns now show the address and number, each with its label.

You can also press Reveal contact on the record's Contact card. See Read a company record.
To skip the question next time, tick "Do not ask again in this session" in the box. It lasts until you close the tab.
What a reveal does
- Shows every email and phone we hold, and the full address with a map link.
- Adds the business to All revealed in the Lists area.
- Lets you export it. Only revealed businesses go into an export file.
- Cannot be undone.
What it does not do
It does not export anything, contact the business, or cost anything when the business is already revealed.
Reveal many at once
The table has no bulk reveal. From the export sheet, Reveal them first reveals up to 500 selected businesses that are not revealed yet. See Export a list to CSV.
What the labels mean
An email's label says what the receiving mail server said when we checked it: Verified, Catch-all server, No answer or Will not deliver. See Email labels explained: Verified, Catch-all server and the rest. Check before you send: Check an email before you send.
If something goes wrong
- Your account cannot reveal right now: something on your plan needs attention. The box has a Plan & billing button. The server keeps a small credit balance, which new accounts start with 25 of, and the app does not show it. See Credits and exports: what costs what.
- "There is nothing to reveal on this record yet": the record holds no email, phone, address or director.
- "Name held back for a moment": a removal check is running. Look again shortly.
