Export a list to CSV
Open the Export sheet on a list, choose columns, check what it uses, and download a file.
You will have a CSV file of the businesses you chose, and you will have seen what it uses before it uses anything.

Before you start
Only businesses you have revealed go into a file. Reveal first: see Reveal an email address. Revealing does not use exports.
Steps
- Open Lists and click your list. Or tick rows on Businesses and use Export in the bar.
- Click Export at the top of the page. The sheet opens at the right.
- Under Which records, choose your selection, A list (pick it in the menu), or Everything you have revealed.
- Under What's included keep at least one of the four groups: Business, Contact, Company and Socials.
- Read Your allowance: exports used, and left after. Read the notes under it.
- Click Download N rows.
- If it uses some of your allowance, the sheet asks you to confirm: "This uses N of your M exports left this month." Click Download, or Back.
- The file downloads. The sheet says "Downloaded {file name}. N rows in the file."
What the notes mean
- "N records were already exported this month, so they do not count again."
- "N businesses are not revealed yet, so not in the file." Press Reveal them first to reveal up to 500.
- "N records do not fit in what is left this month, so they are left out."
- "One file holds up to 25,000 records."
What it costs
A record new this month uses one export. Downloading it again in the same month is free. The allowance resets on the 1st. See What counts as an export, and what is free.
Check before you send
Your suppression list is not applied
Exports do not remove addresses on your suppression list. Check the file before you send from it. See Mark a business as do not contact.
The sheet also offers to check the emails first: Check an email before you send. Every file carries when you revealed each record and an export reference, which you cannot turn off.
If something goes wrong
"This month's exports are used up" means nothing was counted and nothing downloaded. See My export was refused and Change your plan.
