Ask for your data
Anyone can ask Adapt for a copy of what it holds about them by email. Customers can also export their revealed contacts.
You will have asked Adapt for a copy of the personal data it holds, and know how long it has to answer.
This is guidance, not legal advice.
Ask for a copy of what Adapt holds
Anyone can ask, without an account, free of charge.
- Write an email to hello@adaptleads.co.uk with the subject "Data removal request". Say you want a copy of what Adapt holds about you (an access request) and give your name and the business you are linked with. You can also use the contact form on the website and choose "Data removal".
- Adapt may ask for a little detail to find the right record and to guard against fraud. Give it.
- Adapt finds the records and replies.
Adapt promises to answer within 30 days, which is tighter than the one calendar month in UK GDPR. The clock starts when your request arrives, not when it is logged.
Ask for what Adapt holds about your account
Your account holds your name, work email, company, a securely hashed password and, with the payment provider, your billing records. Ask for them in the same email and say it is about your account. See Privacy overview.
Take out your own work yourself
- Open Settings, then Danger zone.
- Press Export CSV beside Export my data. See Export everything you hold in Adapt Leads.
If you hold someone's details yourself
You are the controller for what is in your own CRM, lists and campaigns. Adapt does not run those requests for you. If someone asks you for a copy, find them in your own records and answer. To stop contacting them in the meantime, see Handle a request to be removed.
What happens next
You get a reply with the result. If you disagree, contact Adapt first. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. See Data requests: access, erasure and objection.
If something goes wrong
If you hear nothing, send a reminder to the same address with the date of the first email. For what the legal pages say, see Where to find the legal pages.
