Find someone's email from their LinkedIn profile
Open a profile with the extension on, use Find an email or Reveal email, and copy the address.
You will have a work email for the person, with a label that says how sure Adapt is.
Before you start
The extension installed and signed in: Install the Chrome extension.
Steps
- Open the person's LinkedIn profile.
- Click the Adapt Leads icon. This page shows what we hold on them. If it says Not checked yet, press Check now.
- Look at Contact. If an email is held but masked it reads Verified, not yet revealed. Press Reveal email. That uses 1 export, and the button shows the exact cost.
- If none is held, press Find an email. It tries likely addresses at their business's website and checks which one works. It costs nothing and usually takes under a minute.
- When it reads Found, press Copy email.
What the labels mean
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Verified, not yet revealed | We hold a verified address. Reveal it. |
| On file | It looks right, but we have not been able to confirm it works. Try it with care. |
| Found | We found one and checked it works. |
| None found | Nothing works. Look again tries once more. |
| No website to look at | We hold no website for their business, so there was nothing to try. |
| Could not look just now | Try again in a moment. |
Limits
Find an email is limited to 30 an hour, looking someone up to 20 a minute, and reveals to 60 an hour. If a bar says it is busy, wait a little. A phone number from a company page is shown but not filed.
A found email is only as good as the check. Whoever you email is your responsibility: read The rules for cold email, PECR and UK GDPR. More: Find an email and Credits and exports: what costs what.
