Import from another CRM
Upload a CSV from HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Zoho, Attio or a spreadsheet and see what will happen before it does.
You will have the rows of your file in the CRM as companies, people, deals or leads, with a report and a way to remove them.
Before you start
- You must be the owner or an admin of your organisation.
- Save the file as a CSV (from Excel, save as CSV first). Up to 10 MB and 50,000 rows.
Steps
- Open the Import records page: choose Import a CSV during CRM setup, or open
#/crm/import. - Your file. Drop the CSV or press Choose a CSV file. Under Where is it from? pick HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Zoho, Attio, A spreadsheet, or leave Work it out.
- Columns. Adapt places each column and says how many. Check them. A column you leave out is not imported.
- Stages. If the file has deal stages, map each to one of yours.
- Check. Choose what to do with a record that already exists: Fill their empty fields, Use the file's values or Leave them as they are. The check counts what would happen. Nothing has been added yet.
- Press Import. It runs in the background with a progress bar. You can leave the page.
What you will see
The page lists Earlier imports, each with its result. Importing the same file twice updates records and never copies them. Values that do not fit a field are left out and listed by column.
What it does not do
It does not read bank details, card details, sort codes, account numbers or dates of birth from a plain column. It does not keep your file (held two hours at most). It does not copy history from the other CRM, only the fields you map. It does not change the UK book.
Undo
On an import under Earlier imports press Undo. It removes what that import added. Records are hidden, not deleted, and the list says how many are still here. If an import stops part way, the page says "The import stopped" and shows what was done. Check the report before importing again.
