Export and credit problems, by message
What the export, reveal and allowance messages mean, and what each one costs or does not cost.
Two different things are counted. An export uses part of your monthly allowance when a record goes into a file. A reveal uses one credit when you open a business you have not revealed before. Revealing does not use exports, and an export does not use credits.
This month's exports are used up
The export window shows this when the file needs more records than you have left. It continues: "this file needs N and N are left. Nothing was counted." Nothing was downloaded and nothing was used.
- Make the file smaller: pick fewer records, or a smaller list.
- Or wait for the allowance to reset. The export window shows Your allowance resets on a date.
- Or open Plan & billing and change plan.
Monthly export allowance reached
The server's own wording is "Monthly export allowance reached, upgrade your plan for more exports." Same as above. It appears when none of the records in the file are new to you and the allowance is empty. (If some are new and some are not, see the next item.)
N records were left out because this month's allowance ran out
Your allowance covered part of the file. Adapt exported what it could and tells you how many were left out. Export the rest next month, or change plan.
Nothing new counted against your allowance
Not a problem. Downloading records you already exported this month does not count again. Only new records count.
The export did not finish (error 500). Nothing was counted.
Something failed on our side after you pressed Download. The number in brackets is the error code. Nothing was used. Try again in a minute. If it repeats, contact support with the code.
Could not reach Adapt Leads. Check your connection and try again. Nothing was counted.
Your browser could not get through. Check your connection and try again.
One file holds up to 25,000 records.
A file stops at 25,000 records. The window tells you how many are left for another export.
This reveal was refused because of your plan's balance. Open Plan & billing to check it.
You have no credits left, and this business has not been revealed before. A new reveal costs one credit. A business you already revealed is free to open again. Open Plan & billing to see your balance.
There is nothing to reveal on this record yet.
The record has nothing more behind it to open. Nothing was charged.
That did not work. Try again in a moment.
A general message when the server gave no reason. Try once more. Nothing was charged for a reveal that did not complete.
Your export allowance is used up this month, so nothing was exported.
The same as the first item, seen when you export from Ask Adapt.
What the free trial gives
The free trial has a small monthly export allowance and a welcome balance of credits. Both are shown on Plan & billing.
