What counts as an export, and what is free
Which actions use your monthly export allowance, which do not, and how repeats are counted.
An export is counted when you download a file and only then. This page lists what counts and what does not. For the plans and their allowances see Credits and exports: what costs what.

How repeats are counted
A record you exported earlier in the same calendar month is free to export again. Only records new that month count. The sheet shows it: "N records were already exported this month, so they do not count again."
The month
The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month. The sheet shows the date.
Partial files
If your remaining allowance is smaller than the file, the file holds what fits. The sheet says how many were left out. If nothing fits, the download is refused and nothing is counted.
One file's size
One file holds up to 25,000 records. A longer selection goes out in parts. On Enrich a list the buttons say "Export matches 1 to 25,000" and so on.
A note on credits
The app tells you a reveal does not use your exports. The server also keeps a small separate balance that a new reveal draws on. The app does not show that balance, and when it is empty a reveal is refused with "Your account cannot reveal right now". See Credits and exports: what costs what.
Where to see what you have used
The Reports page shows "Exports used" and how many are left of the month's allowance. Plan & billing shows the plan.
