Find an email
What Find an email does, what it costs, and what each result means.
Find an email looks for a working work email for the person you are looking at. Looking costs nothing. Revealing an email we already hold uses an export.
Two different things
| Button | What it does | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Find an email | Tries likely addresses at their business's website and checks which one works. | Nothing |
| Reveal email, 1 export | Shows you an email we already hold for them. | 1 export (the button shows the exact cost) |
Checking people against the book is free too.
The states
- Verified, not yet revealed (shown masked): we hold a verified address. Reveal email shows it.
- On file: it looks right, but we have not been able to confirm it works. Reveal it and try it.
- Looking now: a search is running. It usually takes under a minute.
- Found: we found one and checked that it works. Copy email copies it.
- None found: we looked and found nothing that works. Look again tries once more. You can still reach them on LinkedIn.
- No website to look at: we hold no website for their business, so there was nothing to try.
- Could not look just now: try again in a moment.
- Revealed: the email is yours now. A phone number is shown if we hold one.
Limits
Find an email is limited to 30 an hour, and looking someone up is limited to 20 a minute. Reveals are limited to 60 an hour. If a bar says it is busy, wait a little.
A found email is only as good as the check. Look at Verified, On file and Found for how sure we are, and see What a reveal is for what a reveal gives you.
A phone number
A phone number from a company page is shown on the card. It is not filed in the book.
