Writing emails with Adapt

How campaigns written for each lead work, what Adapt writes, what it checks, and what the assistant cannot do yet.

GuideChecked 2026-10-10

For one kind of campaign, Adapt writes each lead its own first email from something recent it holds about that business. You read, change and approve every email. Nothing is sent until you launch.

What it does

On a campaign made for each lead, the Leads tab has Leads from Adapt Insights.

  1. Find leads in Adapt Insights lists businesses that match and have something new to talk about, in a window of recent days. Tick people and add them. Only a director's own mailbox on the firm's website is used. One that could bounce is left out and you are told why.
  2. Click Write emails. Confirm. Adapt AI writes email 1 for each lead, then checks it for spam and the copy rules. It runs in the background and the page fills in.
  3. Each lead shows the finding and its email 1, with a status.
Status Meaning
Ready Passed every check
Held Caught by a check, with the reason shown
Needs a rewrite Caught, and a rewrite is needed
Left out Not written for this lead
Not written (error) It failed. Try again.

Your part

Click a lead to open its email. You can edit it and Save and check, Rewrite it, or mark a finding wrong so the rewrite uses the next one. Only Ready emails can be tested, approved and sent. Follow-up steps are written by you as usual.

What it cannot do

  • It does not write the ordinary campaign editor's emails. There is no AI button there.
  • Draft with Adapt in the Unibox opens a note that it is coming. Write replies yourself.
  • It does not decide who is lawful to email: The rules for cold email, PECR and UK GDPR.
  • It can be wrong. Read every email before approving.
