Pause, resume or stop a campaign

How to stop sending at once, start again, or take a campaign out of your list, and what each does to leads.

How-toChecked 2026-10-10

To stop sending, pause the campaign. It takes effect straight away.

Pause or resume a campaign

  1. Open Campaigns. Click the row, then Pause in the side panel. Or open the campaign and click Pause.
  2. Confirm. Nothing more goes out, follow-ups included. Emails already sent stay sent.
  3. To restart, click Resume. A paused campaign needs a current spam check and approval first. The confirmation lists what goes out next, then Resume sending.

Pause a mailbox

On Email accounts, use the row menu, then Pause. Active campaigns stop sending from it and its warm-up stops. Activate reverses it.

Remove a lead

On the campaign's Leads tab, remove the lead. It stays in your Email leads. To stop all emails to someone for good, use the do-not-email list: Unsubscribes and the do-not-email list.

Delete a campaign

Delete archives it. An active one stops straight away. Its leads and replies are kept.

Stops that happen on their own

  • A reply stops follow-ups for that lead, unless you turned that off.
  • Marking a reply Interested makes an opportunity and stops follow-ups.
  • Leads on the do-not-email list, with a deal, or already handed to your CRM are not emailed.
