LinkedIn showed a warning

What happens and what to do if LinkedIn asks for a check, restricts your account or signs you out.

TroubleshootingChecked 2026-10-10

If LinkedIn shows a warning, Adapt stops and tells you. Nothing is lost.

What it means

The extension stops a run by itself when it meets any of these: a security check, a restriction on the account, being signed out, or a commercial use limit. It does not solve a check and it does not carry on.

The panel then shows Paused. LinkedIn asked us to slow down. It stops background work and says when that restarts by itself, in hours. Reading what you look at stays on.

What to do, in order

  1. Open LinkedIn yourself in the same Chrome and look. Do whatever LinkedIn asks, as a person.
  2. Do not restart the run straight away. Leave it for a day.
  3. Lower your limits: choose Cautious on LinkedIn settings, limits and working hours and save.
  4. If you were signed out, sign in to LinkedIn again, then open the extension panel.
  5. If LinkedIn restricts the account, follow LinkedIn's own steps. Adapt cannot lift a restriction.

Ask for help

If the panel stays paused and LinkedIn shows nothing, see Troubleshooting the extension.
