Limits and safety on LinkedIn

The daily and weekly limits, working hours and gaps that keep your LinkedIn account safe, and what each does.

GuideChecked 2026-10-10

LinkedIn does not allow automated activity, and it is your account that carries the risk. Adapt keeps the pace low so the risk stays low. It cannot make it nothing.

The numbers

These are the figures in the app. No limit can be set above its ceiling.

Limit Ceiling Cautious Balanced At the cap
Invites a day 12 5 10 12
Invites in any seven days 80 40 80 80
Profile views a day 60 30 40 60
Messages a day 40 20 30 40
Follows a day 15 8 12 15
Likes a day 15 8 12 15

LinkedIn's own limit is about 100 invites in any seven days, and it does not publish the exact number. Adapt stops at 80 rather than test the edge. The seven days are a rolling window, not Monday to Sunday, and the count is kept on your account, so reinstalling the extension or using a second Chrome does not reset it.

What else keeps the account safe

  • It runs in your own Chrome, on your own connection. Never from Adapt's servers.
  • Working hours. By default from 07:00 to 23:30 on the clock of the computer it runs on. You can shorten them, never lengthen them.
  • Gaps. At least 45 seconds between actions, and never on a steady beat.
  • A rhythm that changes each week. Each account gets its own working pattern, stable through the week and different the next, always inside the safe band.
  • It stops by itself if LinkedIn shows a security check, restricts the account, signs you out or shows a commercial use limit. See LinkedIn showed a warning.
  • Every note waits for your OK. Comments and replies are yours. See What Adapt never does on LinkedIn.

A blank or zero limit is not safe

The extension treats a daily limit of 0, blank or not a number as no limit at all. The app therefore never offers Off, and if your saved limits are outside the safe band it says so in red, and will not make a campaign active until you fix them.

What this does not promise

No tool can promise that LinkedIn will never limit an account. Read LinkedIn risks and honest limits.
