Connection requests and messages

Exactly what approved, queued, invited and sent mean for invite notes and messages, and what is not sent yet.

ReferenceChecked 2026-10-10

Approved is not queued, and queued is not sent. Each word means one thing in Adapt.

A person in a campaign

A person is in exactly one state. The Campaigns page shows these as counts.

State on screen Meaning
Waiting In the campaign. The extension has not reached them yet.
Invited The extension reported that a step went out for them.
Accepted Someone reported that they accepted. The extension does not check for this itself.
Replied Someone reported a reply. The extension does not check for this itself.
Skipped The extension skipped them, for example nothing to do.
Did not go The step failed.

Invited is the extension's word for "a step completed". A profile view, a like and a follow report the same way. So a count of invites is only exact where the invite is the first step.

An invite note

A note goes with a connection request. The extension drafts three for a person when a sequence views their profile with note drafting on. In the campaign's Review connection notes, each person's note is in one of these states.

State Meaning
No draft yet Nothing drafted.
Drafted Drafted. Not approved. Not used.
Approved You approved the text. The extension can send it with their request.
Rejected It is never used.

To approve one:

  1. Open the campaign, then Review notes. Read the draft, or choose another of the drafts, and edit the text. A note is up to 300 characters, and every bracket must be filled in because the note is sent exactly as written.
  2. Press Approve. The row asks again and says who gets it and when.
  3. Confirm. The note is saved as approved.

Approving only saves your approval. The extension sends the note with that person's request once the campaign is added to the extension again and a run reaches them. Once sent, it cannot be taken back. There is no approve-all.

Messages

The app does not approve messages. The extension runs a message step as plain text exactly as written, to people who accepted, but follow-up messages are not sent in a run yet: the Connect run in the panel says so. A reply stops that person's steps and appears in the The LinkedIn Inbox, but only once the extension has copied the conversation.

Nothing is sent from the app

No page in the app sends a connection request or a message. Approving, saving and marking a campaign Active change what the extension may do later. They do not send. See Approvals and cards: why Adapt asks first.
