Approvals and cards: why Adapt asks first

Adapt prepares a change on a card and does nothing until you press Approve.

ConceptChecked 2026-10-10

Adapt proposes. You approve. A chat with Ask Adapt changes nothing by itself: when a change is needed, Adapt draws a card showing exactly what would happen.

How a card works

  1. You ask for something, such as adding businesses to a list.
  2. Adapt prepares the change and shows a card: a title, the lines that say what changes, and a warning if there is one.
  3. You press the card's button, normally Approve. Pressing it runs that one change.
  4. Or you cancel, and nothing happens.

Rules the cards follow

  • A card works once. After you approve it, it cannot run again.
  • A card expires after 30 minutes. Ask again for a new one.
  • A card made in one organisation cannot be approved from another.
  • A card runs with your own sign-in, so it can do only what you can do.
  • Every card stays on record, including ones that expired or failed.

What a card can prepare

Lists, CRM tasks, notes and records, pausing a campaign, starting or stopping a campaign through the campaign's own checks, settings, and similar changes.

What no card can do

Delete data. Adapt refuses anything that deletes, and its answer says so. See What Adapt never does.

Agents use the same idea

The agents on the Agents page prepare emails and changes as cards for you to decide on. Nothing they prepare is sent until you approve it.
