LinkedIn problems, by message
What each LinkedIn message means, what to do about it, and which LinkedIn controls are not built yet.
Adapt Leads plans and writes LinkedIn work. The Chrome extension (or Adapt Desktop) does the clicking on LinkedIn from your own sign-in. Many messages below come from that split.
LinkedIn is not connected yet, so scheduled posts wait on the calendar. Connect it and they go out on their own.
Posting to LinkedIn needs a connection between your account and LinkedIn. Without it, a scheduled post stays on the calendar and nothing is published.
- Open the Schedule page in LinkedIn.
- Connect LinkedIn there.
- Posts already on the calendar then go out at their times.
If pressing connect shows Could not start the LinkedIn connection, try again in a minute. If it keeps failing, contact support: posting may not be switched on for your workspace, which the server reports as "LinkedIn posting is not configured on this server yet."
LinkedIn posting is not connected yet, so nothing can be published from here.
You pressed Post now in Write. Posting straight from Write is not built. Press Schedule instead: the post goes out once LinkedIn is connected (see above).
Waiting: LinkedIn is not connected
On the CRM schedule, a LinkedIn post is waiting for the same connection. Connect LinkedIn from the Schedule page.
Adapt writing hooks for you is not connected yet.
Several Write buttons are not connected: writing hooks, another angle, finding facts, endings, and telling Adapt what to write or change. The messages say, for example, Adapt writing another angle is not connected yet. and Telling Adapt what to write, or what to change, is not connected yet.
What works: write your own first line in the box. The checks beside the box tell you whether it asks one clear question. Give me ideas draws starting points from your own library.
The same idea, your story / Answer it: Not connected yet
On Inspiration, these two actions need a writer that Adapt does not have yet. Writing a version of someone's post in your own words is not connected yet. Start from the post's shape and write it yourself.
Saved sequences are not kept yet.
Save as a sequence, New sequence, Make my own copy and Delete on sequences do nothing yet in the app. A campaign keeps its own steps, and you can start a new campaign from a ready-made sequence and change its steps there.
A review of your week is not connected yet.
The Friday review is not built. Your goals, streak and counts are in the panel beside the list on the Day page.
Not connected yet: which days and what time.
On the Plan page, some parts are not saved yet: who you are for in detail, your WHY, your pillars, your offer and the days you post. They say so where they would be. What is saved today is your audience, goal, kinds of post and how often. On Schedule: Your posting days and time are not connected yet. Pick a time, or drag it onto the calendar.
Adapt cannot read your LinkedIn profile, so it cannot test it for you.
The profile checks on the Plan page are by hand. Work through them yourself.
Not counted yet
A dash or Not counted yet on a LinkedIn card means we do not have a real figure to show. Specifically:
- Meetings are not counted yet.
- Profile views are not counted yet: the extension reports a day's views and likes together, not as a history.
- Invites are not counted yet. on one dashboard card.
- A post's numbers: Adapt Desktop reads a post's numbers from your own LinkedIn. Until it has, the figure is blank.
Nothing is wrong with your account. These are not built.
Take out of this list
On a lead list, Take out of this list is not built for single people. A person stays on a list until the whole list is deleted. To remove someone, make a new list without them.
Make a campaign active but nothing happens
Make it active only marks the campaign as active. It does not start LinkedIn by itself. To work through the people waiting, open the Chrome extension, add the campaign under Campaigns on the Adapt Leads website and start it there. Marking a campaign paused later does not stop a run that is already going: pause it in the extension or in Adapt Desktop.
Could not be reached
Beside a person on a campaign. The step did not complete for them. Open their profile on LinkedIn to see whether it still exists. The rest of the campaign carries on.
N could not be added
When you add people to a campaign, the summary lists how many were added, how many were already there and how many were not LinkedIn profiles. A link has to be a profile address (linkedin.com/in/...). Company pages and search results are not accepted.
The extension does not do this step yet, so it skips it
The sequence editor shows every step you can draw, including some the extension cannot do. It will skip those and the editor says so. Waits, "if they accept" and "if they reply" checks, and handing people to email are not built in the extension yet.
A note or message still has {brackets} in it
A message with a placeholder like {first_name} that is not filled in cannot be saved: the extension sends text exactly as written. Write it in full. A connection note can be at most 180 characters, and at most three messages go to one person in any sequence.
Weekly invite budget and "rate limited"
LinkedIn invites are limited to 80 in any seven days, set by Adapt to keep your account safe. When the limit is reached, the server answers that the weekly budget is spent and says when a place frees up. Wait; do not look for a way round it.
Cannot draft notes: ...
Could not draft a note just now or Cannot draft notes: followed by a reason means the helper that writes invite notes did not answer. Write the note yourself, or try again later.
