A number looks wrong

How to check a figure that does not look right, and which figures are estimates or not counted.

  1. Is it blank, a dash or "Not counted yet"? Then Adapt has no real figure for it. It is not zero. See Insights, Analytics and Home gaps, by message.
  2. Is it a count under a filter? A count on a search is for the filters you have now. Clear one and it changes. If the search is too broad it says so and pauses the count rather than guessing.
  3. Is it exports left? The number counts new records only. Records you already exported this month do not count again. See Export and credit problems, by message.
  4. Is it a month still open? A month that has not finished is drawn apart from whole months, because it is still filling.
  5. Is the page old? Reload. Some counts are kept for a short time to keep the page quick.
  6. Is it a record's value? A name, address, phone or email on a record is shown with a label such as Proven or Claimed, and every change is kept in the record's history with the old value. Open the history first.
  7. Is it your own CRM count? The CRM counts records in your CRM, not the book.

If a number still looks wrong, send support the page, what you expected and what you saw. A wrong figure on a business is worth reporting: say the business and the field.
