Extension settings and Ask
Your account, your own AI key for Ask, pacing, which tab a run uses, and what the Ask screen does without a key.
Open your account menu in the panel header and choose Settings, or press Ask.
Settings
| Section | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Account | Who you are signed in as, and your exports left. |
| Ask | Six AI providers. Paste a key for any one and press Save. The one marked Using answers. Each says it goes only to its own host, never to Adapt Leads. |
| Pacing | Your working hours and how many company pages were read today. How much is read follows how much you normally use LinkedIn. |
| While it works | Automatic, Background or In front: the LinkedIn tab a run visits people in. |
| Worth knowing | The same honest note as in the app. |
| About | The version, and Check that LinkedIn can be read, which shows which parts of LinkedIn it can read. |
Ask
Ask opens a screen headed with today's day. Without any key it shows a briefing worked out from your own list: replies waiting, people worth reaching out to and how many are still to check. A key is only needed to ask questions about those people or the page. Ask talks to the provider directly. Nothing goes through Adapt Leads, and the provider bills you.
The keyboard shortcut is shown on the button (Ctrl K, or the Command key and K on a Mac).
Adding a key
- Open Settings, then Ask.
- Press a provider, paste your key and press Save. Chrome asks once to let the extension reach that provider.
- If you saved more than one, press Use this one on the one you want.
- To remove a key, clear the box and save.
