Call backs

Promises to ring someone at a set time, kept as their own list and owned by the caller who booked them.

GuideChecked 2026-10-10

A call back is a promise to ring a business at a time they asked for. Call backs in the console menu is a list of your promises. It does not drop you into the console until you press Start call backs or Open one.

Book one

  1. On a call, end it and pick Call back under How did it go.
  2. A day and a time appear. Set them to when the person actually asked, such as Thursday at 14:00. "After 2 on Thursday" beats "next week".
  3. Press Save and next.

Work them

  • Call backs shows each promise with the list it came from, the time, and a flag if it is overdue. The console header also warns when one is overdue, and switching lists does not cancel them.
  • Start call backs feeds you the pile from the top. Open takes one record.
  • When you save the last one you land back on the Call backs list, not an empty console.

Rules

  • A call back belongs to the caller who booked it. Nobody else is handed it.
  • It does not count against the five-attempt limit. It is a conversation you are continuing, not another cold try.
  • A manager sees every promise on the Promises page and can hand one to someone else if the caller is off. The time promised does not change. Sales execs do not see that page.

Call backs are not on the Adapt Leads Schedule. Only your LinkedIn posts and CRM tasks are drawn there. See Tasks and the Schedule.
