Send businesses to the Caller console
Put the phone numbers of businesses you chose on the console as a call list, split for several callers.
You will have one or more call lists waiting in the Caller console, ready to give to a team.
Before you start
- You need an operator account. Anyone else is told so and nothing is sent.
- You need to have ticked the businesses, on Find, on a list, in your companies, or on a record.
Steps
- Tick the businesses you want to ring.
- Press Send to…, then choose The caller console.
- In Call this list, type a name such as "Sheffield accountants". Callers see the name at the top of their screen.
- Under How many callers is this for? pick 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 or 10. One means a single list. A bigger number splits the businesses into that many equal lists, and the team's manager gives each one to a different caller. A number larger than the businesses you ticked is greyed out.
- Read the line that says what will happen: it names how many businesses and how many lists.
- Press Send to the caller console.
What happens next
- Anyone who has asked not to be contacted is removed before the list leaves, and businesses with no phone number are left behind. You are told how many of each.
- The list waits in Caller Console, Lists with no team until you give it to one. See Call lists and handing them to a team.
Limits
- Up to 500 businesses at a time. Select 500 or fewer, or you are told so and nothing is sent. Super admin accounts are not held to 500.
- Numbers are not checked against the TPS or CTPS registers. See Calling rules and the law (PECR, TPS and your duties).
If the window says the console is not connected on this deployment, or did not answer, nothing was sent. Try again, and tell support if it keeps happening.
