Save a search and open it again

Keep a Businesses search as a named view, open it later, and know which filters a saved search keeps.

How-toChecked 2026-10-10

You will have a named search you can open in one click from the Filters panel or the Lists area.

  1. On Businesses, set the filters you want.
  2. Click Save search at the top right. (It does not show on the first screen, before any filter is on, or on Directors.)
  3. Type a name, for example "Accountants in Sheffield". The name can be up to 80 characters.
  4. Click Save view. The page says "Saved. Find it under your views."

The box also lists what the view keeps, so you can check it before saving.

You can also open the menu on the name of the search above the table (it says "Custom search" until you save) and choose Save current as a view.

  • On Businesses, under Your saved searches at the top of the Filters panel.
  • On the first screen, from the buttons under the four cards.
  • In the table's bar, click the search name and choose from Saved views.
  • In the Lists area, under Saved searches in the left panel. Clicking one opens Businesses with its filters on.

All UK businesses in the same list clears every filter and shows the whole book.

What a saved search keeps

Kept Not kept
Sector (one or several) Sub-sectors you left out
Location A postcode area you left out
The keyword or name Owner or director email, Business email (any)
Company size Email status
Company type Company details (chain, registered away, on the register)
Newly incorporated Founded years
Verified email, Decision-maker name, Phone number, Website, Social profiles People on file

If your filters include something that is not kept, the save box says so: "Saved views do not keep ... yet. They stay on your screen now, but are not part of the view."

Limits

  • A saved search is yours. It is not shared with the rest of your team.
  • Saving does not run the search. Opening it does.
