Turn a signal into an action

From a signal, open the record, add the business to a list, then write to them through a campaign or Ask Adapt.

How-toChecked 2026-10-10

You will end with a business from your feed on a list, ready to contact. Adapt does not write or send anything from a signal for you.

Steps

  1. On the Feed, find a card you want to act on. Read the headline and the date. A signal tells you something happened. It does not tell you the business wants to talk.
  2. Click Get in touch on the card.
  3. Choose Add to a list, and pick or create a list. Or choose Open the record to read the business first. View company opens the same record on its Signals tab.
  4. From the list, send the business to a campaign. See Build your first email campaign, or call from the Caller console.
  5. When you write the first line, mention the thing that happened, in your own words. Ask Adapt can help you word it. Nothing is added or sent until you approve it: see Approvals and cards: why Adapt asks first.

A reason to call from an agent

The Search agent can read your saved feed and prepare up to a few reason to call cards, each citing the signal behind it. You approve each one in Ask Adapt. See The Search agent.

Check before you send

A signal is not consent. For cold email and calls, PECR and UK GDPR still apply: see PECR and UK GDPR in plain words for a B2B seller. This is guidance, not legal advice.
