The cards on a company record
What each card on the right of a company record shows, field by field.
The right-hand side of a company record has up to four cards. This page lists every field on each.
Company
Titled Company, or Site for one site of a group. A pill says the business is matched to the register when the business is matched to a registered company.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Part of, or Operated by, or A service of | The group or company that runs this site. For a group it links to its locations. |
| Company number | The registration number, with a pill such as Active, or the status in plain words. |
| Registered name | Shown only when it differs from the trading name. |
| Legal form | For example Private limited company, Public limited company, Limited liability partnership, Registered charity, Sole trader, Partnership. Read from the company number and registered name. With no company number it is not guessed. |
| Incorporated | The date, and how many years ago. |
| SIC 2007 | The industry codes the company registered under. |
| Registered office | The address on the register, with a map link. "Shows once revealed" before you reveal. |
| Registered charity | The charity number, where there is one. |
| Site type | Head office of a group, or One site of a group. |
A business with no company number shows its Legal form as Not confirmed, or as a sole trader or partnership, with a line saying it is not on a company register. Its address row is Trading address.
Contact
Before you reveal, the card shows the main contact, a note and a Reveal contact button. After:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Main contact | The person to ask for. A small note says when they are not yet confirmed as the person in charge. |
| Director email, Business email, General enquiries, Likely address, Also seen | Every email we hold. Each has a Verified, Catch-all server, No answer, Will not deliver or Not checked yet label, and a type tag. Click an address to copy it. See Email labels explained: Verified, Catch-all server and the rest. |
| Phone lines | Each number with its kind: Mobile, Landline, Internet phone, Freephone and so on. A number also seen elsewhere says "Also on file". |
| Website | A link. "proved to be theirs" appears when the website is confirmed. |
| Social | Links to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube. |
| Trading address, Also seen at | Where it trades, and up to three other addresses seen. |
| Registered manager | For a regulated business such as a care home. |
Sole traders
The card adds a note that a sole trader is an individual under PECR, so email marketing needs their consent while calls and post do not. It is guidance, not legal advice. See PECR and UK GDPR in plain words for a B2B seller.
How we know
One line per field (Company or Name, Phone, Website, Address, Email, Director), each with a label chip, and a header such as "5 of 6 fully confirmed ยท last check 2 days ago". A bar above the lines is coloured by strength. Click a line to open its history: when it was last checked, when it last changed, how many times, and the trail of changes with the old values kept. Labels are explained in The labels on a record.
About this address
Appears when the address is shared by several businesses, such as a serviced office. It says what the address is and who runs it, and See the businesses registered here opens a list, 50 at a time, of the businesses in the book registered there. Nothing on the record is rewritten.
In your CRM
Under Your history. It says "In your CRM" with the deal count and an Open in your CRM button, or "Not in your CRM yet".
