Approval cards: what Adapt proposes and what you approve

Ask Adapt never changes anything on its own. It shows a card and you press Approve or Cancel.

ConceptChecked 2026-10-10

When you ask Adapt to change something, it does not do it. It prepares exactly what would happen and shows an approval card. Only your Approve makes it happen.

What a card shows

  • A title, such as "Archive the list ...".
  • The exact details as label and value lines.
  • Warnings, if any, and how to undo it.
  • "Nothing changes until you approve ยท this card lasts 30 minutes".
  • A Needs approval pill and the buttons Approve and Cancel.

What happens next

You press Result
Approve The card shows Doing it now, then Done with "Approved by you" and sometimes a button to open the result. If it did not go through it says Not done and nothing changed.
Cancel The card shows Cancelled and nothing changed.
Nothing After 30 minutes the card expires. You see "That card has expired, so nothing changed."

A card works once only, for your account only. Pressing Approve twice does nothing the second time ("That action has already been done").

Limits

  • At most three cards come back for one answer.
  • Cards you have not decided can be listed by asking "Show my approvals".

What Adapt will not do even if you approve

It never deletes data. It archives or pauses instead. It never sends an email from chat. It never cancels a calendar event, it reschedules. It never changes your password, API keys, plan, payment, sign-in email or closes your account. See What Ask Adapt can and cannot do today.

Every approved change is also recorded in your organisation's audit log with ids and field names only.
