Retention: how long Adapt keeps things
What is kept, what happens when you close an account, and what Adapt never deletes.
Adapt keeps business records while they stay relevant and reasonably accurate, and removes stale ones over time. No fixed period is published.
Closing your account
Settings, then Danger zone, then Close account. You type CLOSE to confirm.

| Sign-in | Ends straight away. It cannot be reopened from the app. |
| Your data | The account is marked closed. The server does not delete the account or anything that belongs to it. |
| The Danger zone's own wording | Check it: older design wording talks about deleting the workspace after 30 days, but the live behaviour is to mark it closed. |
Export what you want first. Under Export my data, every contact you revealed comes out as a CSV and uses your export allowance for contacts not already exported that month.
What is kept after a removal request
A small suppression record, stored as a hash, so the same details are not added back.
Account and billing records
Kept for the life of the account and as long as the law requires, such as tax and accounting records.
In the product
Lists, tasks and records are archived, not deleted.
